Dark Water is a 1,150 sqft daylight studio with direct street access with large bay view windows and skylight in vibrant Berkeley, California.
The studio features up to 5 artist stations, a reception/office area, ADA bathroom, client lounge area, photo space and storage area.

Promotion
We will also make efforts to promote through Dark Water and our other artists’ channels leading up to your stay.
Additionally if you make Instagram post related to your stay at our studio, collaborate with @darkwater.ink for additional reach through our channel.
Finally, we have found Instagram ads to be successful among our visiting guest artists, if you are worried about filling your appointments. As everyone is different, please let us know if you would like tips on strategies which have been successful for our artists in the past.
We look forward to documenting and sharing footage of your and process to use freely. You can use it to create additional media should you choose.
House Rules
Clients must be 18+
Clients will fill out and artist will review their waivers prior to tattooing
Booth rental is due before the session starts and before they invites clients to the operating area.
Please share your schedule with us prior to your guest spot. This will help us a great deal with our own calendar, and in turn will help the other artists at Dark Water.
The studio and artists strive to maintain the highest levels of hygeine and customer comfort. We have a safety and standards walkthrough and guest guidline agreement that needs to be completed on or before your first day.
Dark Water reserves the right to ask you to leave the studio and forfeit your deposit if the artist guidelines are broken.
If you need to ship equipment to a secure location prior to your arrival. Please let us know and we can arrange to receive them at Dark Water’s offices.
The refrigerator may be emptied/cleaned daily.
Customer Guidlines
Clients must be 18+
Clients must arrive sober to their appointments. If Dark Water staff suspects anyone is under the influence of alcohol/drugs, we would ask you leave the premises immediately.
While clients may bring one friend/support member (at the artists’ discretion), we ask others to wait outside or in the waiting area due to local occupancy rules.
Our waiting area is equipped for you and your customer to rest and fuel up during those long sessions.
You will be added to our iPad based waiver system prior to your arrival. Please ensure your check in every client prior to tattooing. They can fill it out in our seated waiting area.
